Cue and Review Recording Service provides a daily Talking Newspaper service across several media platforms. We are a charity registered in Scotland SCO18016 and a Co.Ltd by guarantee without share capital registered at Companies House as number 129748. Over 100 people use our building on a daily basis. 25 volunteers record in our studios across a week. Over 2000 visually impaired people listen to the daily podcasts that we record. At least, that was the case pre-Covid. To enable these numbers to return in a safe fashion it is vital that we finish our appeal and at the same time adapt our working space too. Especially taking account of those members of our team who we would consider at risk due to their age, disabilities including underlying conditions and who are fearful of working in our 4 soundproofed, airless, carpeted studios or having to walk through corridors that are only a metre wide without mitigations in place.

Founded in 1982 and working with the British Wireless for the Blind Fund as our audio distribution partners since 2009, we record The Herald, Glasgow Times, The National daily and Inside Soap weekly. Currently, our 18 home readers record, edit and upload their articles to the British Wireless for the Blind Fund server daily, enabling their work to be available via online platforms including Sonata Internet Radio service, mobile phone app and Alexa. Volunteer producers compile weekly podcasts for Castbox, Anchor and USB stick. Our Audio Ambassadors are the promoters and publicists mainly through social media but pre-pandemic through visits to libraries and other promotional venues. All that work costs money and your ticket will help us buy a brick in our home at the Bishopbriggs Media Centre.
