Animal Rescue and Care needs your support to continue rescuing, fostering and rehoming animals in Richmond, SW London, Middlesex, Surrey and wider areas. We rely entirely on volunteers, donations and fundraising, alongside the support and generosity of members of the public.

We’ve helped over 10,000 animals in need, and with your play, we can support even more animals.During our last financial year, at any one time, we had an average of over 100 animals in foster care across our network, taking in 517 animals and rehoming a total of 518. We also provided low-cost/free neutering for stray and pet cats in low-income households in the local area as well as low-cost/free neutering of bull dog breeds to help keep these dogs in their homes.

ARC, in common with many other animal charities, is facing a challenging financial situation. Almost half of the rabbit rescue and adoption centres have closed across the UK, due to financial difficulties, increasing pressure on the remaining rescue and adoption charities. At the same time, the ongoing cost of living crisis is placing increasing pressure on animal rescue charities like ours, increasing demand for our services.

Every pound that is donated or raised through fundraising, goes straight to helping animals in need. We find loving homes for unwanted and neglected animals.

Money we raise from the lottery will be used to rescue animals from cruelty or take in hundreds of abandoned ones. We foster and give them the medical and specialist attention they need, including neutering. We look after them until we are able to find approved owners who adopt them into loving, happy homes.
